What it is

Menu boards come first because we build a lot of them: interior boards for ice-cream stands and cafés, backlit and plain, with changeable panels for seasonal items and prices that move. Herrell’s, Shelburne Falls Coffee Roaster, Bueno y Sano, Doyle’s Car Wash — the requirement is always the same. Legible from the back of the queue, easy to update, and able to take being splashed.

A-frames and sidewalk signs are the other staple. They are the most cost-effective sign a small business can buy, they can be brought in at night, and in most towns they need no permit. We build them with changeable panels so the message can shift daily without new hardware.

Then there is the genuinely miscellaneous, which is a large part of what makes this trade interesting. Cast bronze and aluminium plaques. Boat lettering and boat wraps. Snowmobile and golf-cart graphics. Corn-hole boards. Reflective graphics for the Gill Police. Custom ketchup-and-mustard bottle post tops. Memorial signs. A surfboard with an airbrushed graphic. If it can be printed, cut, carved or painted, it has probably been through this shop.
